When you login to your FTP Site, normally you see the directory structure like below.
DomainName.com
database -----> Put Your Access Database or Excel Database Here
logs -------> Contains your WebSite Logs (Will be deleted periodically).
public_html -------> Put your default page or index page here
cgi-bin ----------> Put your cgi script here
images----------> Put your images here.
Please do not delete or rename the directory structure, as it may cause your control panel not working properly.
